![]() In her second form, Plantera and Plantera's Tentacles move faster than normal. In the first form, her pink Seeds can travel through blocks, and all projectiles have limited homing capabilities. In Expert Mode, there are a few significant differences in Plantera's attacks, aside from the default increased health and damage. Plantera's behavior returns to normal upon re-entry of the Underground Jungle. Her projectiles also deal double damage and have reduced cooldowns. This causes her to obtain double damage, double defense (quadruple defense in the second form) and increased movement speed, as well as changing her attack patterns and directly rushing the player. Plantera becomes "enraged" if she follows the player out of the Underground Jungle biome, whether it be to the surface, to the Underworld, to a Corrupted/ Crimsoned or Hallowed part of the Underground Jungle, or to a completely different biome. Similarly to the first phase, the cooldown between releases depends on Plantera's health. ![]() They can be destroyed in a single hit with any weapon or tool, but travel through blocks and deal high damage. Plantera now occasionally releases floating pink spore projectiles that drift towards the player, similar to the spores released by the Giant Fungi Bulb. Defeated tentacles will not regrow, making Plantera much easier to fight once all are killed. These deal contact damage and get in the way of the player's attacks, but have comparatively little health. Upon transformation, Plantera sprouts eight additional mouths, Plantera's Tentacles, that are attached via vines to her body. Her contact damage is greater than in the first form, but her defense significantly decreases, down to 10. In this form, Plantera ceases to fire the projectiles from before and instead moves more aggressively in attempts to make contact. Once Plantera is brought down to half of her maximum health (15,000 / 21,000 / 26,775), she changes to her second form her pink petals fall away to reveal a thorn-filled mouth. There is a short cooldown after a projectile has been fired, which depends on Plantera's health as well as the type of the projectile:Ĭooldown (in seconds), based on Plantera's health ![]() Poison Seeds and Thorn Balls are only dispensed while Plantera is below 80% health (24,000 / 33,600 / 42,839). They can overwhelm the player if they stay in the same area for too long. ![]() Thorn Balls are similar to the projectiles released by Spiky Ball Traps, bouncing around erratically. On the PC version, Console version, Mobile version, Old Chinese version, tModLoader version, and tModLoader 1.3-Legacy version, the green Poison Seeds have a 50% / 100% chance to inflict the Poisoned debuff. Seeds and Poison Seeds are similar to the stingers of Hornets and Queen Bee, and the petals of the Flower Pow. ![]()

And then there's the steroid junkie C43, entering the market at $53 Grand. The stronger C280 can be had for another four grand and includes the 2.8-liter V6, dual power front seats and an eight-speaker Bose stereo system. Handling is sure-footed with either car, and braking ability is quite good, although the C230, at 100 fewer pounds than the C280, feels somewhat more agile.īase prices start just over $31,000 for the C230 Kompressor. The six-cylinder C280 is quicker than the C230 Kompressor getting to speed, and getting there quickly doesn't mean changing your own gears. Manually rowing the automatic shifter, a C230 Kompressor can now get to 60 mph in just over eight seconds, a two second improvement from last year's model. The three models available this year are the C230 Kompressor, C280 and C43. Other technologies that have found their way into the C-Class include side-impact airbags, the BabySmart airbag system that disables the passenger side front airbag when a Mercedes child seat is located in the front passenger seat, and Brake Assist which provides maximum braking if Mercedes has determined that you have stabbed the brake pedal in a panic situation. With this kind of power, an adaptive transmission and distinctive styling, the C43 fits well into the Mercedes tradition-yet still stands out on its own. Replacing the C36 sedan that turned heads from 1995 to 1997, the C43 is the latest combined effort of Mercedes-Benz and AMG, the German tuner that has modified and raced Mercedes cars for the past two decades. The C43 supersedan boasts a 4.3-liter engine that produces 302 horsepower at 5,850 rpm and 302 foot-pounds of torque between 3,250 and 5,000 rpm. And the V8 sitting under the hood of the C43 empowers the driver to leave just about everybody in its dust. The V6 that powers the C280 may not sound significant, but it produces better low-end torque than the engine it replaced while getting better fuel economy. The C230 gets supercharged power this year, good for an increase of 37 horsepower and 38 foot-pounds of torque, up to 185 and 200, respectively. One of the advantages of Bose over my current Lightspeed is that I have no battery, it's strictly panel-powered, so if I buy an adapter it has to have its own batteries and provide power. I do have some high pitch hearing loss in my left ear due to an injury, and I've been happy with my previous Lightspeed headsets.Īlso, their support has been fantastic, and yes I have been able to get parts from them for a 12-year-old, long-discontinued Wien What happens if you don't launch the Lightspeed app prior to flight? Does it still let you go back and check CO levels later? I ask because, while I do have the iPad app that goes with my Zulu PFX, I've used it maybe twice. Unpaid, unaffiliated, just wanted to share my quick review. I had 30 days to try this headset out before deciding to keep it. My airplane has a belly pod, so the CO levels are higher than on a standard Husky. Can you guess how many T&Gs I did? You can actually see the climb-out CO levels. Not only that, but I just opened the Lightspeed app and was surprised to see it recorded the levels from the flight yesterday. But if you’d like to hear what the current level is you push a button and it will give you an instant read-out. If the levels are low and not a factor, no warning is given. I don't remember having any issues with either one.įinally, the main reason I’m keeping the headset the CO monitor. As far as ATC was concerned, I'll need to do a few more flights to really know. So I’m convinced the changes to the settings on the Delta Zulu is what allowed me to hear all the details in the music. Well, the first 7 or so lower tones were simple, but as I got to the higher frequencies I had to crank up the volume just to hear them after four decades of flying. I had done the hearing test through the app which takes the different frequencies and has you lower the test volume on each frequency until you could just barely hear it. Putting the Delta Zulu on, it sounded like a great set of earphones. Next, listening to music on each headset, I felt the Bose was ‘muffled’ like there was little treble to the sound. It was a nicer feel for me, even though it had more clamping force. The Lightspeed (Delta Zulu and Zulu 3) has a larger ear cup that goes completely around your ear. I’ve had this cause some pain after a few hours of flying. Second, while the Bose has less clamping force on your head, it rides on top of some of my ludicrously large ears. It wasn’t something you’d notice after a minute of using either headset. First, the A20 is about 2 db (total wag on the amount) quieter than the Lightspeed. Testing it yesterday side-by-side with the A20 revealed a couple of things. She loved them and that’s what she’ll continue to use.īut for me, after messing with two different CO monitors, and forgetting to turn them on before the flight or to charge them at home, I was really drawn to the Delta Zulu. It’s not something that annoys me too much, but my partner didn’t like it. After switching to an LED Strobe and Nav light, the noise diminished a bit. Loved the freedom they gave me.Īll of the Lightspeed headsets worked well, with only a small complaint that my strobe light (non-LED) came through slightly as a pulsating tone. Then I gave wireless headsets a shot in the Husky, picking up a couple of Lightspeed Tangos. At first it was the Lightspeed Zulu 2 and 3. I’ve been searching for the perfect headset for a long time now. I’ve finally been able to do a comparison test of the Delta Zulu with the Bose A20 on a flight yesterday. ![]() ![]() UAD v9.14.5 is compatible with Windows and macOS versions earlier than Big Sur.Note that UA FireWire products are incompatible with Big Sur. ![]() ![]() However, there are some good reasons for keeping an original lath and plaster ceiling. Sometimes this failure can be disastrous, the collapse at the Apollo theatre in 2014 injuring 88 people during a performance was caused by water ingress weakening the lath and plaster ceiling. Where sagging is evident the ceiling will move if gently pushed or make a hollow sound if tapped. If this spreads across the ceiling even the horsehair can’t support the weight and the ceiling, or sections of it, will sag and then may collapse. This weak point is usually at the lugs that wrap around the laths. Plaster is brittle by nature and will crack at its weakest point under vibration or through water ingress. If there are lots of small timber laths with creamy lugs of plaster in between, the ceiling is original. ![]() In older properties you can check the type of ceiling by looking under the loft insulation, or lifting a bedroom floorboard. The lime improves workability and breathability of the plaster. The plaster was usually made from lime mixed with sand and cement and included horse hair to act as a natural reinforcement and effective bonding key. Plaster was then applied to the underside of the laths, held in place by being squeezed through the gaps to create a ‘key’ or lug. Laths are thin strips of wood (around 25-38mm wide and 3-8mm thick) spaced around 5mm apart and nailed to the ceiling joists above. Picture courtesy of Malone Associates Ltd What is lath and plaster?
